Wandering far... chasing light.
We are Field Notes Photography, located in Edmonton, Alberta and we are so grateful you've found your way to to our site. Creativity and storytelling have always been a part of our lives through art and writing. While working to facilitate research for Indigenous communities in Canada, photography became central to story and truth telling. As they say, the rest is history...
Working to improve our craft, it was difficult to find support and guidance while also growing as an artist and visual ethnographer. Reaching out to other photographers and cold calling artists for help often resulted in hearing the word no, or not hearing back anything at all...
It is our hope that through our workshops, retreats ,and professional photography services you will not only grow as an individual in your creative pursuits, but you will find a meaningful connection with others and with yourself.
It will be our greatest honour to support you on your journey as an artist, while you bring your stories to light.
